It was finally decided that he needed a blood transfusion. And he just didn’t bounce back and respond the way he should have. And he was very, very weak after the surgery. And I remember going to the hospital after he had had the surgery and sitting there with my cousin and her husband. And her husband had to have open heart surgery. And it was hard for me to see her husband suffering. We’re the same age, and we grew up together. ![]() Many years ago my cousin’s husband had a very severe heart condition.
